Adults know what it feels like to have sex! However, most parents have two jobs... the primary one is raising their kids! The second one brings in a paycheck. Now, after dealing with job issues they come home make sure the kids have food on the table, clothes on their backs, a roof over their heads... and that their kids aren't in trouble. they don't have the energy to be displaying their affection for each other, and just because they don't doesn't mean they don't know what it's like.

Oh, please! My parents are in there late 60 and early 70's and they still make love a couple times a week. I was lucky that my mom was a stay at home mom and my Dad had a very good job. And I am proud to say that they always showed affection towards each other all the time, even to this day. Hugging, kissing, holding hands, saying " I LOVE YOU!" Even little sexual things like my Dad touching her breasts when he thought we weren't looking. I am married, I have a 3 year old son and one on the way and we always show love and affection to each other. It is important in a healthy marriage to show your kids that you love each other and are attracted to each other. And we still make love 2-3 times a day, 3-5 times a week.
The thing is that most teens come from broken homes. They don't know what a healthy relationship is or what a healthy marriage is. It is so sad! So I thank God every day that I have happily married parents ( Married 40 years this Nov.) and good role models for marriage.

Aristotle, and Plato often used parental units having sex as funny. There are many Greek comedies which this was used to make us laugh. It still make us all squeamish and freaks us out even when we get older.

Would you want to think about your parents having sex? Gross! I am 33 with 3 kids and I still don't like the idea that my parents have had/will have sex and I don't want my kids thinking of me that way either.YUCK! Some things are better left unknown ... in this case ignorance truely is bliss.

Totally agress with the first answer. I am 35 and dont want to think of my parents having sex even though I have a wonderful and healthy one of my own!
