be specific (Atlanta ,miami ,and Nashville are all down south) are you talking about a public school teacher in La. , Ark. ,Miss. or Ala. then not much but Tenn,Ga,and FLA pay pretty good not GREAT

Just depends on where down south and where/what you teach. Anywhere from 25,000 to 75,000 average grade school is around 37,000

Not enough. My dad teaches in Ark and he doesn't make much at all!! I think Arkansas pays less than almost all the states.

My aunt teaches 4th grade here in Houston and she make 18.00 an hour
