does this mean my home university won't get that grade and in a sense i got away with a bad grade; the catch is just i can't continue taking classes there(at least for transfer credits) since all classes will be on one transcript; is this true?

Retake the course and replace the bad grade with a decent grade and it will be okay.

Unfortunately you most likely need to send in the transcript. The grades won't count, but they want to know what you did and what you took. Call your Registrar's Office to check. You also will need to send all of your transcripts to any grad school, scholarship, or jobs that will request them. It won't hurt you, they just want to get a full view of your academic work.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. I failed a Science class at a community college and it was on my transcript when I applied for grad school. I also had a VoTech that I took one class at and got an Incomplete. That also had to be submitted with my grad school application. Neither had anything to do with my major and neither affected my acceptance.
