I was nursing my baby the other day and my husband asked to try the milk. I was ok with him tasting some from my finger but he wanted to try some straight from my breast. It kinda freaked me out. I am not sure why. Have any of you had your husband try your milk? Am I being weird or is he?

I never had a problem with him sucking on me there before I was breastfeeding but now it feels so different

It's fine *if* it's okay with you. A lot of men do it occasionally. If it bothers you, then just don't do it!!

Let him taste...it's not weird. The only thing is now that you are nursing, you don't view your breasts as a sexual object (I nursed for 1 year straight...two kids...just finished with one). My husband never wanted to suck it straight from the breast, but it happened one night we were getting frisky. Just let him try once and he'll be over it!

I don't feel that either of you are being weird. This is definitely not an uncommon thing for lots of men. Sharing your body with your partner is a beautiful thing as long as you are comfortable with it. You may never be comfortable with this but then again maybe it is just a new idea for you. Spend some time talking to your hubby about how you feel about it, you should feel lucky that he feels so comfortable with you that he can bring up such a sensitive subject without feeling he would be shut down. Well you are the only one that knows how you feel. I am a little wierded out by it and I am nursing if my husband came to me with that request I am not sure what I would do.

My husband got a tiny taste once when we were foolin' around in the bedroom. He said it was more sugary than he thought, but he was in no way interested in consuming more.
That would kinda freak me out if he wanted to nurse. Blah!

I think that every husband wants to try it. Mine did and it didnt hurt him any. Just make sure you save enough for the baby.

One time I forgot the pump at work and the baby wasn't hungry. I thought I was going to burst, but my husband told me he would take care of it. I was a little taken aback, but he actually drank it! It was good relief for me, and he got his curiosity satisfied.
Neither one of you are weird, it is just one of those strange things. Do what you want!

Its not weird for him to want to try it
But if your uncomfortable
Just tell him only in a cup or off your finger
Its your body and your decision

My husband drank about 4 oz from me. I was very engorged and my baby was sleeping, so I had him drink from me to get rid of the pressure. This is when I was weaning my baby.

No one is being wierd, only curious. My husband loved to do this and I didn't mind. It's okay, its your body and its new, have fun!
