When someone has a "chill" or "shutter" ( shake) this is a commit that someone was walking on the ground where they were going to be buried.
Another variation of it is that some wild animal was also walking across it.
It is done mostly by people my age or older, and often done more in the South ( to the best of my knowledge)

The superstition is that when you get the chills someone somewhere has stepped over your grave. The interpretation for grave may not be limited to your actual resting place but can also include the location of your death.

It's usually associated with someone getting the chills. "I feel like someone just walked over my grave," means that they sort of feel like their privacy was violated. It's an eerie image, so it's basically used to mean that they got a very creepy, cold, chilling feeling.

People often say this when they get a cold chill. I have also heard people say that a rabbit just ran across their grave.

This saying (Someone just stepped on my grave) is used by someone who has just been reminded of their mortality, and they get a shiver down their spine. The origin of the phrase is unknown, although its earliest roots are traced to Newfoundland and the Appalachian Mountain area, so it is probably Celtic.
