they wont return my money after cancelling due to emergency few hrs after purchasing tickers...any ideas??

They'll credit most of your money toward a future flight...but "no refunds" is the rule of thumb with discounted airline fares.

Contact customer service supervisor and explain the emergency. If they won't give your a refund, they should give your a voucher if you cancel the ticket and don't just fail to show up for the flight. You will usually lose $100 from the fare, but don't know the rules with Jet Blue. I had to cancel because of a suspected heart problem and they gave me full credit toward another ticket.

Well unless you got ticket protection it's their right not to refund the money. The only alternative would be to use the credit to go another day but this usually costs big bux. Maybe try calling a newstation if your story is sad enough they will do a feature on you
