I have a Compaq Presario V3019US which has the new AMD Turion 64 x2 processor. When will the drivers all be avaliable to run 64 bit safely.

It's still far away.
Expect the change to take years.

Microsoft is still going over Vista, and not planning to make strength to 64bit any time soon.

You might have some more luck on linux, but there are problems there too.

There's no need to wait Windows XP 64 is out now. Pcclub and other computer stores carry it now. You need to check Compaq's website to see if they have the drivers for your computer.

Why not ask the software manufactures of the software that you have? What do you mean by safely?

Every hardware/software manufacturer is constantly writing updates/patches/fixes for their products. If the original was correct, they would not have to keep writing all these updates.
