Well...I just got one and haven't had any problems as of yet (knock on wood)...but I highly recommend a hardshell case for it. I got one at the Apple store for relatively cheap, it's hard plastic all around with openings for the dock, headphones, hold botton and wheel. The rest is clear, so you can see the iPod, except the edges are covered in rubber in case it does fall.

dude dont liten to the ipod druggies they look like high quality just because of the apple logo but oh no they are all mistaken they say that just cuz the ipods are popuar none even bothers to see the creative zen vision m which byt eh way has a muc better screen quality and much beter audio quality sure it doesnt go as loud but why would u want o kill ur ears also it may be as thick as the 60 gb ipod but hey it makes it feel sturdy and durable when i hold the iopod it feels like im gonna drop it so i hate that also the creative xomes with more features ex: fm radio voice recorder 4 hr video life also u can change the color of the theme and use pics as backrounds the ipod has they lame boring blue and white theme and lame white backround

Ipods are a dream come true for me. The only problem i have is that without some kind of case they can scratch up like crazy. So if you do buy one or have one make sure to invest in some kind of ipod case that also covers the screen.

ipods are a very high quality and the screens scratch easily but if u get a cover u should be fine , just try not and drop it too much.

Quality level is great. I have both a shuffle and a nano. Both worked great, the only difference between them is the gig.
I've never had trouble with the screens just the back of the nano scratches easy
