"blow by" is excessive levels of compression getting past the rings.........usually worn rings are the cause, but I also agree that you need to be sure the PCV system is operating properly, or the road draft tube if it is that old an engine.......you will not likely cause anymore damage to the engine by continuing to run it if these systems are workin. If they are not working properly then you can have pressure build up inside the crankcase and start having alot of trouble from seals and gaskets that were not designed to hold up to pressure

Blow with the help of is linked with gasses going around the piston. there is often some blow with the help of no remember what you do. verify compression to work out that all and dissimilar cylinders have good seal. be particular that spark plugs are dry and sparkling. you should do a leak down attempt to envision it intimately. blocking off PCV replaced right into a nasty element. you could vent PCV out into the ambience, yet do not block it. If somewhat broke off the valve and reduce into the cylinder, then you truthfully ought to have undesirable compression and distinct blow with the help of. Valve is extremely weak compared to a piston, so likely not. Blow with the help of is hard to outline, because there is no sure quantity to it. yet at idle if it smokes by ability of the pcv with extreme p.c., then likely too a lot blow with the help of.

Worn or stuck rings, damaged ring lands (piston)rarely a damaged piston. Worn Valve guides or seals cause smoke out the exhaust not blowby. PCV valves have a hole about 1/4 diameter and wouldn't vent much blowby to intake manifold at best and are not a cause if blowby is large.

the rings are worn and probably the cylinder walls are scratched bad. the only way to stop is a rebuild, If you are lucky it will only need to be checked for serious cylinder wall damage and then hone the cylinders. put new rings and rebuild kit and you are on your way.
the cheapest you can expect is 800.00 if you do it yourself

sounds like you got a stuck ring or a pcv valve not working.if you think its a stuck valve,go and get somre motor flush, and oil and filter and flush out your engine then change your oil and filter, sometimes that will unstuck your rings.
