You need to talk to a good therapist to get to the root of why you don't ever find satisfaction in yourself. You expect perfection, but no one is perfect. In other words, your expectations are unrealistic and they set you up to fail no matter what.
I'm sure you are a lovely person. You sound intelligent and you're one of the few people on this website that can spell and construct a decent question and sentence. I'm sure your parents are very proud of you.
Life is full of competition. There will ALWAYS be someone smarter, prettier, more personable or better in some other way. IT DOESN'T MATTER. You are you, with all the good parts, and not so good parts, and that is more than good enough. It is excellent.
You need to love yourself and appreciate that which is beautiful and wonderful about YOU. Start looking to what is RIGHT, and pay less heed to what isn't perfect. Those things are just reminders that you should never stop trying to be a better person. That doesn't mean you'll be perfect, nor that you should ever be. Though the truth is that you already are.
You care, you love, you feel. You matter.
Sit down and talk with an expert who can help you learn to love yourself. YOU are worth it.

I used to be like that, and still am if I don't yank myself back to reality now and then. I'd get 99% on a quiz and agonize over the 1% I got wrong instead of celebrating the 99% I got right!
A professional psychological counselor recommended I read the book "Pulling Your Own Strings" by Dr. Wayne Dyer. She also advised me that Dr. Dyer's other books aren't worth reading. I've looked through a few of them, and I concur.

the reason you're unhappy because your standards are too high
this may be funny to you, I only had one A in my high school, and i can get into college
my parents always though i would get perfect straight A's just like i did in elementry school (where i came from elementry school was very intense)
but i've reached my limit, so i'm satisfied that i cannot go beyond it

its hard to believe but i think your already good enough. i mean come one you do get good grades, i try so hard and i will never get all A's or even most of them to be A's, i think you are a lil to hard on yourself if you just take things one at a time you will be relaxed and see it becomes easy. seems like you got awesome parents and friends, and that makes you good enough, i mean your good enough if they are there for you, just think of it that way. keep ur head up high and always smile cuz life is too short to be sad.
