Can we assume your best friend is also female? If not, that's one obvious answer. Beyond that, maybe it because they don't really know your friends parents or maybe they know something they really don't like about your friends home life. Did you try to ask them why? Will they talk to you, other than simply...."because I said no!"? There can be legitimate reasons for saying no.

.... why do parents say no when your best friend asks you to spend the night...
.... maybe because.. our parents worry about us...
.... because some parents want each of their child slept in their house cause they find they house the safe place for their children because they are their to protect them, save them from harm...
.... when we are not home... our parents... always worry for us..
..they kept on thinking..

what does my children doing now?
Are they fine and okay?
Are they on the safe place?
Did they ate already?
And much more...

The bottom line is...
Our PARENTS...
Loves us....

Your parents are looking out for you. They may not know your friends parents well enough to have you stay over there.
