Do you think it was okay for Jeff Gordon to "spin out" Matt Kenseth to win the race on Sunday? Personally, I think Gordon needs his butt kicked.

NO! it was not okay. Gordon is such a cheat and such a crybaby/whiner. it so figures that he would do something like that to win a race. especially since he hasnt been doing that great this season.

I am not trying to defend Gordon, but if you look at the footage you will see that Kenseth did slow down just enough for Gordon to get into the back of him. They showed it several times on tv. Also, Gordon was better in the middle of the corner as where Kenseth had to wait until he was almost out of the corner before his car could hookup again. In other words no, it wasn't cool for Gordon to spin him out. Gordon is a smart driver and is still on probation. It would have been very stupid of him to do it on purpose. He could have been suspended for the next race or even longer according to the pre-race meeting. I am not a Gordon or Kenseth fan. I am just giving my opinion as to what I saw and what the drivers said about it.
But yes, Gordon does need a good butt kicking anyway. Did you see the beer bottles fly at his car after his cool-down lap and burnout?

I think it wasnt payback at all. I am a Gordon fan and i am not defending him but like in one of the prior posts the replays showed Kenseth slowed down and Gordon had a good run on him and since there was only 4 laps to go if Gordon backed off he might of not had another chance to catch him. I say it was okay for him to hit Kenseth.

It's never ok to spin someone out. But name one driver who has never spun someone out and/or has been spun out.
It's racing, it would have happened regardless of who it was. But the thing is, if it would hav been someone else, nobody would have said anything. On here, it's just a bunch of Gordon haters who are threatened by 4championships and 75wins.

I think that was the end of it between Jeff an Matt though. Matt spun Jeff out, now Jeff spun Matt out. I don' t think Matt will risk losing points over spinning someone out. Nascar will be looking for it, even if it's on accident, there will be points and money taken away if and/or when these two get back together. Matt's close to being champion again, and points matter.

It was just racing! Gordon tapped the back of Kenseth's car, causing Kenseth to spin out! Kenseth new Gordon was coming and faster and that he was hungry for the win, he should've got the heck out of the way! Gordon hit Kenseth no harder than we see Stewart or Jr. or anyone else doing throughout a race!

A few weeks ago, Kenseth spun Gordon out. Big deal, been going on since NASCAR started. But Gordon's attitude was like, "How dare he do that to me! I'm JEFF GORDON!" Cut to last Sunday-Gordon spins Kenseth. Gordon's attitude? "Oh, that's just racing."

Not cool!

Why is everyone acting surprised by what happened on Sunday? That was typical Jeff Gordon. If he can't pass cars, he does one of two things: whines about it, or bumps them out of the way. What got me was his claiming that it wasn't "on purpose" and then blaming Kenseth in the next sentence. Matt was "blocking". Yeah, Jeff, he was going to let you go with less than 10 laps left in the race? I don't think so. What a moron!

The thing that Gordon and Stewart do not understand is that there is a difference between a short track and a big track. When you take someone out on a big track there is a much bigger chance they could be seriously hurt. Gordon is a smart guy and that he does not remember that the middle petal is the brake is surprising. I am sure that his owning part of the 48 that remained in the points lead because of his actions had nothing to do with it.......NASCAR should take action but will not.

This is just racing. What would you do if you were in the same situation? Image seeing the checkered flag, would you go for it, at whatever cost? Hell I know I would, and so would any of the other drivers.

Gordon does have an attitude, but wouldn't you with all the Gordon bashing going on.

**I am not a Gordon or Kennseth fan, but like I said this is racing, this sort of thing has been going on for years, it has gotten really aggressive in the last year, but so have all sports**

Not at all. He had a faster car and three laps; he could have gotten around Kenseth if he was patient. All Kenseth was trying to do was stay out front, and who can blame him for that?

I'm still disgusted that drivers get penalties for cussing but he's not getting anything.
