That is, sports swimming. Mainly, if not exclusively in a pool. Life-jacket wouldn't be appropriate.

No, I don't think it's a pull Buoy. Thanks, but that's not really for beginners. I've seen women with a foam floatation device around their waste to keep them floating so they can feel more confident while trying to swim.

I believe your talking about a Jogbelt. Its used to help people learn to swim.

I think you may be refering to a pool buoy. You put it between your legs to keep them floating so you can work on your arms. However, if you don't know how to swim at all wear a life jacket or go with and instructor until you learn.

Yes I think you mean a lifejacket. Get it at any hardware or boating store.
