I'm the biggest Schumacher fan so I am hoping Ferrari will come up with something special this weekend; but I think Fernando Alonso is going to win in his Renault.
Why?
Because Renault is a French team, using French tires, driving on French soil.... I think you get the picture. They will pull out all the stops to win in front of the home crowd, its sponsors, etc... Lastly, this year's Renault R26 has been the class of the field on circuits with high speed corners, like Magny-Cours.
Still, it's not all bad news for Ferrari. Ferraris have always performed well on this circuit, especially in Schumacher's hands (he's won the French Grand Prix 6 times). Plus, they will be looking to carry their astounding Indy pace into the second half of the European season and they do have momentum on their side.
In any event, like always, I will be getting up in the early hours of the morning to watch the race live on Speed TV and rooting for Michael to win.
Forza Ferrari!

Unlike Indianapolis, where Michelin brought a very conservative tire/tyre, you can expect to see much better rubber from the French company at Magny Cours on the weekend and I think Fred Alonso will be on the top step of the podium on Sunday afternoon.

Kevin is right. MC requires good chasis balance and high grip - which is abundant in the Renault.
Schumacher's Indy win is not so much a 'return of form' but a result of racing last year which resulted in good amount of data generated for the car, tyres etc.
So I don't think Schumi has a chance.

Sadly, it's not even about drivers or cars. It'll be Michelin and the Michelin runner with the best package. So... Alonso and Renault.
But I'll still be hoping for Michael and Massa.

Ferrari seems to have worked out a lot of their problems, so I'll give the nod to them.
