Love them! I've been hooked from the get-go and now my kids love them . . . unfortunately, my son has asked me for a flamethrower ("Please", with the big Bambi eyes).
Anyway, Calvin does everything we wish we could . . . he is the perfect example of a creative fertile mind. Plus, Calvin's dad is pretty cool, too and Susie is a great foil.

Calvin and Hobbes is a great comic. My favorite are the ones with the snowmen. I crack up every time I see them. Calvin is so twisted, but very creative. Bill Watterson tapped into all of our inner childhood dreams. (If it only snowed in Texas.)
I was very disgusted when that fad hit years ago where every idiot had a sticker on the back of their vehicle in which there was a Calvin-like character urinating on everything from company logos to specific group names.

I like it because it is so insightful of humanity and the human condition. I mean, I know grown men, myself included; who would love to be spacemen or superheroes and run roughshod on an imaginary world. And can anyone be untouched by the one with the dead bird? Bill Watterston is an incredible man, wish he still did a strip. Plus, his integrity is still the main thing I think of when I think of him. He never merched his creation like a $2 whore, and never talked down to his readers. Thank you, Mr. Watterston.

I like it so much taht when they released the whole series in 3 giant binder books i was the first one in line to get it.
