I am trying to lose weight fast. An Idea came to my mind that why not forget all other food and just stick with fruits only. Do u think its a good idea or human body needs some other intakes as wel?

No You need protein or all the weight you lose will be muscle. Eat a balanced diet and do cardio (running, biking, swimming)
for an hour each day.

3500 calories = 1 pound so if you cut out 500 calories a day you will lose a pound a week. Most people drink 500 calories a day. Try drinking nothing but water (but still eat food).

It takes time.

You need to eat a variety of foods to maintain a healthy balanced diet. Eat Fruits, Vegetable, Meat & Milk products. But eat in moderation and cut down ur portion intake. Combine all that with moderate daily excersise and u will GRADUALLY see ur body improving. It wont happen just over night. And if u deprive urself from other foods such as dairy and meats u wont be getting all the nutrients that the body needs on a day to day basis!

Eat healthy, eat in portion & keep up with sum excersise. All the best and Good luck

Goodie thanks for an interesting question. The human body needs so much more than just fruit. Ever wondered why vegetarians look so pale? It is because they lack Iron unless they compensate with high protein foods such as Lentils and tofu. You need certain amounts of Carbs, Fats, vegetables and meats. You'd be better off trying to find a balanced diet or eating plan and start exercising gently (walking or swimming to start).

You need a balanced diet in order to keep your metabolism working properly. If you start knocking out entire food groups, your body will start to go into self-preservation mode and start hanging on to the fat that it has stored up.

Get a good balance of fruits and vegetables (raw or steamed, not processed and canned), proteins (meats, low-fat dairy, nuts, beans) and grains (whole grain cereals, brown rice, oatmeal) and eat the balance in 4-5 SMALL meals a day. Do not skip breakfast, and do not eat anything at least 4 hours before retiring to bed at night.

To keep track of your progress and make sure you're getting all you need, you can create an account at http://www.fitday.com where you will be able to input your current weight, your weight loss goal and everything you consume during the day, as well as every calorie you burn during the day by entering your daily activities. It will help retrain you as to how many calories per day you need to consume versus how many you need to burn in order to achieve your weight loss goal.

this is definetely not a good idea, your body needs a good balance of fats/carbs/protiens fruit will not provide a good balance of these, you should try a good healthy balanced diet and try to do cardiovascular excercise 6 days a week 45 minutes each time, but start out easy like walking and work your way up to jogging then running

not really smart to do that i advise you to just make the portions of the foods you eat smaller so you can still eat the foods you love but lose weight also but you should also work out also to help burn extra calories to help get rid of the fat that's what i am doing and so far its going good i use to be 375 now i am down to 340 so its working good so just watch what you eat and exercise to help burn off that extra fat

You'd lose weight, but it'd be nearly as unhealthy as bulemia. Unfortunately there aren't any real effective ways to lose weight fast and healthily.

There are people who do it, but they're also imbeciles.

I think it's a stupid, irresponsible idea...who's gonna look after you when you get really sick?
