Women in Cameroon "iron" their daughter's breasts in order to "make them less attractive" to men. These are 90% Christian. What can the world do to help STOP this mutilation?

It's not any worse then what many Muslims practice in Africa and the middle east. Clitorectomies (aka female genital mutilation, infibulation, and sometimes female circumcision) is a common procedure done to young girls. They do it to prevent women from enjoying sex so they won't stray from their husbands.
Ahh, the things people do in the name of religion...

Who told you they are 90% Christian? The way to stop the mutilation is to change their culture. Change how those men were raised and how the women think and this mutilaton will cease to exist with time. Yes it is a complete outrage.

I've just read this story and think it is horrible. This, like female genital mutilization, is evidently something that has been around and we are just ignorant to.
It makes you REALLY think. A large population of people are spending millions of dollars to improve their looks through various surgical procedure while there is a large portion of people who will do ANYTHING to make themselves less attractive.
Mystifying? Is anyone really happy?

It seems that organizations are already stepping in and doing the right thing through education. Many individuals in urban and rural areas do things based on superstition or tradition rather than the scientifically proven, i.e. female circumcision or raping a virgin to cure AIDS.
