I am a Freemason, and I have no problem with Glenn Danzig. I used to listen to Black Flagg and Glenn Danzig in High School. While I have not heard anything about him being a member, his membership would be decided by his merits as a person, not by his political views.

It is absurd to think that Freemasons would not allow him because they don't approve of his musical tastes or politics. Some of the Masons I know LOVE his music, while others hate it.

I do know that there are only a couple of requirements to join the Masons. You have to be a man and you have to believe in a higher power. I'm not sure if Glenn believes in a higher power, but if he doesn't, he wouldn't want to join the Masons, nor would he be able to, since you swear an oath when you join, and it would mean nothing to him.

Glenn Danzig is not a freemason, nor is he a Satanist. He is a religion all his own, and I am a proud follower. For Life and Afterlife. plus I don't think he'd be caught degrading himself by washing the steps of a mason temple or any other "religious" building, he has demons to do menial labor for him anyway.

That is one of the most ridiculous questions I have ever heard. Have you seen the men who are Masons? Masons but be voted upon and it must be unaninously agreed by all lodge members present that you should be allowed to join. Do you honestly believe that every man in any lodge would agree to allow a man who is known for music that centers around violence and disregarding authority to join? He would be hard pressed to find even one Mason who would reccomend him, let alone, the two required to sign his petition for membership. You can choose to believe whatever you want about the spiritual convictions of Masons (I gave up trying to change peoples minds long ago), but we are morally upright men within our community, who respect the laws of our nation, and the moral code of the Holy Bible. Glen Danzig isnt fit to clean the steps of a lodge building.

Though he has used a lot of the imagery on one of his albums (6:66 Devils Child) I'm not sure he is an actual freemason. He probably just thought it looked neat.
