Okay, here's the deal. I am doing this kid's club this week. I need games that have questions in them.

Some of the questions are like, "What was [the main character in the story]'s favorite color?"

What kind of games can I use with the 3rd graders?

Today I used hangman. I had them answer a question and if they got it right they could guess a letter.

So stuff like that.

Oh, also things that don't require the kids do much moving around.

Thanks so much for helping.

Jeopardy!!! This has proved to be a favorite among children around that age. They can be divided into teams or small groups. Questions can be made to be as simple or as difficult as you want. The game itself can be simplified to their level. And it is not difficult to set up. Index cards work well. Assign a color card to a specific topic, write a point value on one side of the card. The other side gets the question and answer.

A Jeopardy type game, or a 'Who Wants to be a Third Grade Smarty(Millionaire)'. Any of the TV game show type games work well for me. You can also have the children make up gameboards of their own.
