Does anyone know if it is true that 80's fashions are coming back this year?

I heard from a friend of mine that 80's hair, clothes, and make-up are going to be the hit thing this year. Anybody know about this? I heard that Saks is going to be carrying some of these fashions. I would just die if shoulder pads made a comeback. I am woman, hear me roar!!!

shoulder pads no. hair and form fitting jeans, now that is something that i understand, finally i can teach my kids how to do their hair the "old fashioned way" and do a better job. yahoo!!

I really hope that the 80s trends aren't coming back, but I really doubt if they are. They made a comeback a few years ago, but it was short-lived (thank goodness). I do not, however, have any insight into what Saks will be carrying for the fall, so I don't know for sure.

Fashion this year is definitely making a nod to the 80's. Leggings and skinny jeans are already all over the fashion world, from runways to your local mall. The belt-over-shirt thing is also very 80's, as is the gold and silver lame some designers are using.

Let us hope this is as far as it goes.. Some things need to STAY in the past...like shoulder pads, legwarmers, crimping irons, two pairs of slouch socks worn at once, hi-tops, T-shirt slides, frosted blue eyeshadow and/or seven shades of eyeshadow painted in stripes up one's lids, neon EVERYTHING, etc.

They are...I write for a fashion and beauty blog. Leg warmers are back, as are leggings, for example. But these things take a little while to become really big (again).

If you like the fashion, wear it all the time, not just when it's popular.
