When a female dog bleeds this is called being in 'heat'! This is when the males come to mate with her.

Your period is a time when you are verrrrrrrrrrry likely to fall pregnant...

Yes one ova is passing out of your system.... but at this time the very next one is already in the fallopian tube waiting to be fertilised..

So not only can you get pregnant... you are very likely to get pregnant...

It's possible but not very likely. Ovulation occurs around the middle of a woman's cycle (specifically, in the middle third): If you have a 28-day cycle, for example, then you'll usually ovulate on the 14th day, counting the first day of your period as the first day of your cycle. If your period lasts seven or eight days, by the time you finish menstruating you're only five or six days away from ovulating. If you consider that sperm can live in the fallopian tube for two or three days, then you have a narrow window in which you could get pregnant if you ovulated a little earlier than normal. If you're not actively trying to get pregnant, it's always safer to use reliable contraception when you have sex, no matter when in it is during your cycle.

Yes. Sperm can live in the body for like 3 days I think. So they could meet up with the egg after your period.

Yes, it's very possible. I highly recommend a book called "Our Bodies, Ourselves : A New Edition for a New Era," ISBN number 0743256115. It answers this question and a whole lot more.

It is soo not true!! if you are on youre period you are actually more likely to get pregnant because you are ovulating and that is when youre egg is coming out of youre body so if youre egg is met with sperm on its way out you will still be able to be pregnant!

Yeah sure and douching with coca-cola also keeps you from getting pregnant.

Listen if your not ready for kids then the best bc is abstinence.
