Sure, why not try it. What do you have to lose?
The trick often with light and dark shadows is to define your eye. Many women want their eyes to look deep set and so they put light shadow on the lid (lightest in the middle) and a darker shade in the crease. Some folks like the light shadow from lashes to eyebrows (getting to be less the higher they go). Experiment with your makeup and try new things. That is 1/2 of the fun of it!
Peace!

White eyeshadow can be severe, especially with dark liner and mascara. Try a creamy ivory instead and focus on using it on the browbone and inner corners of the eyes. You can even use a matching ivory liner on the inner lower lids for a fresh, awake look. If you do want to use some on the lid, use a peachy-champagne base and use the white just on the balls of the lid (where the eye protrudes and the light naturally hits), it'll give dimension to an otherwise boring neutral eye. Hope that helps. My favorite lasting shadows are by MAC, NARS and Too Faced. If you're on a budget Loreal HIP eyeshadow works just as well as more expensive brands.

Just use white as highlighter right below your browbone - anything else would look too 70's - and not in a good way. Good eyeshadow that lasts can be found in the NARS, MAC, Bobbi Brown and Fresh makeup lines. NARS and Fresh can be bought at www.sephora.com and Bobbi Brown and MAC at www.gloss.com. Hope this helps!

The white eye shadows and white eye liners are out , you're better off with a dark brown eye liner and some mascara
along with some natural looking lip gloss

it's usually used as a highlighter, like below the eyebrows I have dark brown hair/eyes and that's the only way I can wear it.
you should use purples & browns together then highlight it with the white. I get compliments when I do my eyes up with those colors.

I think you could. Just don't go too crazy with it. Experiment a little before going out with it on to see the best way to apply it for you. Try a shade called Chill Out by Flirt! at Kohl's. Their eyeshadow stays on really well.

It looks good on some women. Like Marilyn Monroe but not everyone can pull it off. You could try it but don't get anything cheap. I would try revlon but it's a liquid shadow. If you want you could try to mix the white with another light color or something a bit darker like grey or beige. Also apply lightly as possible.

You might like the results of the pencil better. wet n'wild white eyeliner is the cheapest thing I will buy because you can get a nice neat thin white outline without making it look like your entire eye is covered. works great for highlighting your brows, under your eyes if you have dark circles etc.
