Generally speaking, the Libertarians distinguish themselves from Democrats and Republicans because they don't distinguish between "personal" and "economic" freedom. They are for liberty, consistently, whether the liberty is "personal" or "economic." So they are against high taxes and excessive regulation of economic behavior, but also against excessive regulation of personal behavior, like sex. Libertarians are not always pro-choice about abortion, btw.

No I don't vote Libertarian because I don't vote at all. Anymore.

Last time I checked the libertarians were for smaller federal government, giving more power to the states and giving the people more power over government. Kinda like the founding fathers intended.

I do. Too bad libertarians don't have a Rush Limbaugh touting their views. We had a local radio talk show host here that would fill the bill, but he's only available online now. Check out:

The party takes reduction of government to a higher level, some argue that the poor and weak will be abused by the rich without more government controls, however the fundamental system makes sense to me.

Well the banner on the FAQ page states "smaller gov...fewer taxes...more freedoms". In the FAQ page it states they believe that a person has the right to "do as they wish, without gov interfering- as long as you don't violate the rights of others".

There's a reason why Democrats and Republicans are dominant parties and why those other parties are unheard of. Did you ever think about that?
