No, I am not giving away money. Just wondering what kind of dreams people have.

Use your imagination. Would you live your dream? What is that dream?

I would definitely pay off our debt!!! Then I would make sure parents were taken care off. I would invest some into money market accounts for our children. I then would give a large sum to our Baptist Church we are members of. Then, I would choose 50 people and give them $1,000.00 each and tell them they must invest it in a way to start something that would benefit someone else for good. I would also use a great sum for the Academy where I teach Kindergarten. I know my classroom could definitely benefit! It sure is fun to dream..............................

As in the movie Austin Powers, a million dollars is not that much.

One million dollars is an amount of money that many of us dream of having someday, and with this amount of money, we could probably buy anything and everything that we want. There are at least 8 million people in the world who are currently millionaires, and if you had a stack of 1,000,000 one dollar bills, it would weigh as much as 2,040 pounds, or slightly more than one ton. But then again, a million dollars really isn't a significant amount of money if you think about it - with the rising cost of houses, a house that costs more than $1 million isn't too uncommon these days. And most people who work for their entire lives will probably make at least a million dollars.

But what if you had $1 million right now? And what would you have to do to earn that money? For those of us who can't inherit it and don't wish to rob a bank, here are some relatively fast ways to make that money:

Win the Lottery

Winning the lottery jackpot is something that everyone dreams about, and if you were to win the lottery, you'd probably receive much more than just $1 million - the largest payout ever was nearly $315 million. Simply purchase a lottery ticket every day and hope for the best. But the odds of winning the lottery are so low that you could purchase tens of millions of the $1 tickets and still not win. The average person who participates in the lottery spends about $150 every year, and about 12% of winnings are never claimed. A few years ago, someone forgot to redeem a ticket that was worth $34 million! Don't let this happen to you...

File a Lawsuit

Although it usually takes years for a lawsuit to get settled, a huge amount of money can be won if you win. A 79-year old woman who accidentally spilled hot coffee all over herself managed to sue McDonalds for the incident while originally receiving nearly $3 million for it. And another person once sued Walmart for $35,000 after slipping on a french fry on the floor. Because of such incidents, there are many people who intentionally hurt themselves every year for the possibility of receiving a gigantic sum of money, but considering that the defendant will almost always win, you also have to make sure that you have enough money to pay your lawyers if you don't win.

Invent something...

Creativity is highly rewarded these days, and regardless of how awkward your invention is, you can probably make a lot of money off of it. All you really have to do is to find a new use for existing objects or services; it doesn't even have to be an original invention. Think of things that people need right now. For instance, you can probably make billions of dollars overnight if you can find a fool-proof treatment for cancer. On the other hand, a man became a multi-millionaire during the 1970's by selling rocks for $4. Rocks!

Work for Microsoft

If you can't beat them, why not join them? Of the 60,000 people who work for Microsoft, at least 10,000 of them are millionaires. Best of all, you'll be under the tutelage of Bill Gates, the richest man in the world. He makes $1,000,000 every seven hours. Surely he knows of better ways to make a million dollars than the ones listed on this blog.

After reading this, you probably don't think that it's realistically possible to earn a million dollars in such a short amount of time. But most millionaires are average people who aren't significantly different than we are. In one interview that included thousands of different millionaires, a majority of them scored below 1200 on the old SAT test and had a 2.9 GPA throughout their college years. They were even told by their teachers that they'd never become successful in life.

And so, back to your question:

What would you do with one million dollars?

*^0 hmm......... probably invest the money into R&D and come up something more innovative than the IPOD.! ! !

Pay off things like car and house. Set aside some to pay future bills, and some just because.

Then, I'd buy a large television. Then I'd buy awesome parts for a custom PC or two. And a lot of video game consoles. And more tech junk.

If you stuck in in a regular savings account, you could make a living off the interest alone. You'd be living on a salary equivalent to more than $20 per hour, only without working. In twenty years, the interest ALONE that you'd have to play with would be almost another million.

So, would you really want to blow it all?

Pay for college, donate some to charity, buy a motorscooter, get the best seats in the house for a game my favorite sports teams play in, buy a new dvd player/television/computer/video game system, invest the rest

I would give 25% to chairty and share it with those in most need of help. Then I would share 25% with my family members. The other 50 % would go into the bank and into investments for future use.

I would buy a house on the coast-west or east, travel all over the world, and have a masseur 24-7.
