my step kids are in a battle with their first step mom and their dad, she was full custdy of them and now she has visitation rights. she said that i am a bad mother and that is not true i have two little ones and all she wants is money. she has put the kids in the middle of it. The first set of papers are dated in april and the second set is dated may and the last set is july. I just want to know if there is a time frame of when they are dated to when they are served. she also had her sister-in-law give them to me.PLEASE respond i need the help

My first thought is that, as far as I know, the court has to have any notices of action delivered by official means, not by someones sister-in-law. What kind of court papers are they? Did you provide your signature ackowledging receipt of them? Have you ackowledged to the courts in any way the receipt of these supposed legal documents?

It depends on the state you live in. Call the court. If you can afford it, a lawyer.
