my period is supposed to come this week and a few minutes ago i saw something that looked like blood in my panties,but when i wiped there was only clear discharge.is this normal?and is it my period or not?

It sounds like spotting to me. Perfectly normal.
On a different note. If you don't feel comfortable talking to your male pediatrician ask his secretary if there is a female one you can switch to because you'd be more comfortable with a female.

You are fine - it is normal (are you a teen/preteen??? If so, normal). If you start having an itchy feeling, unusual smell or something it could be a yeast infection (which is VERY COMMON and not a disease either so don't be scared) -- but if you don't have any other symptoms, don't worry about it. It is not your period. WOMAN answering here (experience) -- you are fine.

when u first get ur period it can be irregular for a long time....some women have to take med...( birthcotroll) to regulate their periods(even if the are virgins and not haveng sex) my sister had to and i know several other woman that had this....you should be able to talk to ur dr. about this even if it is a man he is a perfeftional...u may also want to seek a gynacoligist

i think it might be, i know this is gross but as you get older the body changes and i noiw get brown at the begininng and end of my period and yes the mucus does undergo changes almost al month long. if you think you are pg then get a test and if you itch ore smell go to a dr and dont have sex till you do

dont worry too much bcuz thats what happens to me at the very start of each period. just check on it from time to time. if it was a lot of blood maybe you should ask yer mom or a doctor but otherwise its probly fine. maybe it was from shaving irritation?

I would go see a docter. YOu shouldn't be having discharge at the same time as your period.

nope, it's just discharge, go to the doc because it might be an infection
and... period=blood=red

You could just have an infection. I would go get it checked out.
