Not only what you said but they wouldn't know a good movie if they were swallowed into it. they have bashed every good movie this year and commended every poor one. Makes me wonder if they are getting paid under the table to steer us the movie goer into those films instead of the great ones. It's all about the money for them, Me.... It's all about being entertained.

Not really. If I want to see a movie then I see it. I do however read reviews just to see what "pros" think of the film. Sometimes I go by how many stars the film was given or nominations it's received if I have never heard of it, but am told to see it. I guess ultimately it depends on the person. For the most part I love all films and do think about what critics say. However there are many movies that I just don't agree with critics on.â¥

hell no...
I hardly ever agree with reviewers.. I have done some reviewing for my local newspaper a few years back.
Here's a good example of a bad reviewer.
Back in 2002 Sum of All Fears comes out. I couldnt wait to see it. But for some reason i picked up the newspaper that day to see what they said about it. These ******* idiots said that it was ok but put some things down: Not Al Quaida, and a few others
I laughed at it. Anyone who knew anything aboiut the movie Reviewers should. woudl know the movie was filmed before 9/11 and Tom CLancy personally said that just because Al Quida attacked us he wasnt gonna refilm it.

Movie critics travel in a different circle than the every day person; so I'd have to say, 'No, they do not influence me'. The only movies I thought were good enough to be up for an Oscar this past season was Walk the Line and North Country. They raved about Capote and it was not good.

No, because too many times I've disagreed with the critics. To me, a movie is like a song. It may be technically inept, or it may even be down right stupid, but there is just too much of a subjective experience for any person to tell another person "you will get nothing out of this" or "you will love this."

I don't take their opinions seriously. I'm the best the critic for me to take advice from. I have my own interests and opinions and i know i won't agree with what a critic says because the have their own opinions too. I think people can miss out on a really great movie if didn't listen to critics.

I don't let critics influence me in the movies I see. So often they give a bad review and I see the movie anyway and enjoy it. Sometimes the more hype a movie gets, the worse the movie.

I go see a movie based on several things. If i see a preview that just takes me on a ride, I simply have to go see that movie. However, if that preview gives the whole story away, there is no need to bother with the movie right?
I like to see actors that I like, and I also like stories that interest me. And if I read a book and a movie comes out to portray it, I absolutely have to see if it does justice to the book.

No i have to go see a movie for myself to see if i like it i dont always agree with a movie critic but i repsect there opinion on movies! Like movie Taxi Driver Roger Ebert gave it 4 stars called it one of the best movies of the 70,s and Leonard Maltin only gave it 2 stars! So it is intresting to hear them give there review but i still wanna go to see what i think because we will not always agree on movies but we will listen to the review and decide for ourself if we want to go to movie or not!

I sometimes am influenced by what critics have to say, but only if they back up their criticisms with some sort of logical explanation (other than "it stunk"). I agree with you, though- it's hard to take the word of someone who gets paid to see movies and gets to see them before everyone else.
