How long will it be before labor starts after the cervix starts thinning?

labor starts when your water breaks..or contractions are less then 5 minutes apart...

your cervix thins slowly during 3rd trimester..and is usually helped with medications during labor

it could be a week or a month - the good news is that if you have started thinning, then you are starting the process, but it could very well be a while yet until the baby is ready to come out
