I'm going for a family vacation over Christmas. I'm looking to hear some good things. Please, no made up stories, there are small children involved in this.

I have heard it is very nice, but have never stayed there since we have no children. It is a resort more for families with young ones. Check it out on tripadvisor. They have tons of reviews.

I visited Starfish in May. It was awesome! When you get off at the airport Super Clubs have their own "office" in the airport - you go in and get your free bottle of water and then they take you to a bus to take you to the resort (about 1/2 hour ride). You must tip the drivers of the bus - they do not work for Starfish, about $1 per bag. The people there bend over backwards for you - whatever you want you get. We were able to get a cottage instead of staying in the hotel part. It was cool - plenty of room and would be better for children (I think). Our cottage had two beds, desk, sitting chair, TV, refrigerator (stocked), liquor (stocked - and free unless you finish the bottle and request more), locked safe, dressing room, "closet", and the bathroom was roomy. The buffet was awesome - anything you can imagine was on it daily. The fresh fruit is wonderful. We didn't go to any of the restaurants (Italian, Sushi and I think there was another, but can't remember). The bars have strawberry daquari and pina colada frozen machines (non-alcoholic) on them - you serve yourself - be warned . . . . they are addictive! The beach is awesome - there is even a small island off the main beach. The pools were great also - the children will LOVE the slide by the outdoor grill - it was awesome. It is a very family friendly place to visit. The spa was a great experience also - prices were reasonable. This place is all inclusive and has a "no tipping" policy - you can't go wrong. You never need to bring your wallet with you. Warning: If you decide to tour the locals stores, be careful, they are very pushy and you really sort of feel for them because all of them want you to purchase something from them and it can be a bit much. Hope this helps - have fun!

We are going to a nearby resort next week and for research and trip reports I frequently go to a website called TripAdvisor.com. Travelors give reports on their stays and people, like yourself, who have questions about a resort can post their question and receive answers. Look under "forums" for the postings. At the siteismply type the name of the resort in the search area. You will find it EXTREMELY informative. Have a great trip!

We're a full-service travel agency and have had several clients stay there. They loved it! Especially the kids' programs. Space around Christmas is almost all gone, so don't delay. Ditto the TripAdvisor.com recommendation. If you need help, visit www.magiccarpet.travel and contact us. Guarantee we can beat Internet prices, usually by 20 to 60 percent. :-)
