my car dealer damaged my car while i brought it in for a routine oil change. can i get out of my lease without penalty?

I highly doubt it. If anything the dealer would simply repair the damage. Just how much damage did they do to make you even think you might have a way out of the lease?

If you really want out, you might consider having the dealer 'buy out' the lease. Depending on the finance company that financed the lease, if you buy a new car, the dealer might be willing to 'get you out' of the lease. It happened to me. My wife was from out of state with a leased car. We couldn't title the leased car in our new home state. Fortunately we found a dealer who would buy our lease and sell us a new car. Otherwise we would have had to default on the lease, which as bad as a repo!

Nope. However, if the dealer damage it, he needs to fix it.
