There are so important too, so many things with early intervention can help so many later illnesses, there are metobolism, hearing, growth, etc. I say thank GOD they have them.

And thank goodness they have them. I was born in NJ nearly 26 years ago and it was one of the only states that tested for thyroid problems and I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism about 2 weeks after I was born. If I had been born in another state that didn't have that test, I would be a completely different person today!

Actually, the number of required tests vary depending on your state laws. Be sure to request them if your state doesn't require all 29!!!

I didn't know about 29 tests. I knew about 10. I think it was called the Apgar scale?

and I am glad for everyone of them! Early intervention is key in so many diagnosis - I am glad my doctor did all the tests on my daughter
