I'll take this as a first experience to lip gloss which is okay. Some people do not know how to function a lot of everyday things. With lip gloss, i would suggest taking the brush out of the tube and applying to the lips. Don't hurt yourself, this could be hard for those first trying this process.

One of the best ways to use lip gloss is over lipstick. For example, try a pastel pink lipstick and then touch up the middle of each lip with a pink shimmer or shiny gloss to give your lips a fuller softer look.

You smooth it across your lips to give them a "glossed" look, you can use it alone or on top of lip stick.

Let's see---it's lip gloss. Would you put it on your lips? No---wait---it must go on you feet! No...that can't be right, then it would be foot-gloss. But why would you want your feet to be glossy??
Let's see---lip gloss------DUH
