It's glued on..I believe. There's a glue remover you can buy at the auto parts store...and the rear view mirror glue is there too. Be gentle and read the directions...you can crack your windshield if you get too rough on it.

Oh yeah...and fingernail polish remover...or acetone...is great for removing the glue once you have the rearview mirror off. Just don't get the stuff with the oil in it...and you shouldn't have to abrade the surface if you get all the glue off.

first you wanna clean the spot off with a razor, then get a wire brush or some sand paper and ruff up the spot your gonna put the mirror (be carefull this scraches the glass minize the area), then use the epoxy found at any auto parts store

go to auto store and get the epoxy for fixing the mirror it's easy to attach just follow directions

get a glue kit for mirrors and make sure you get all of the old glue off before you try to put the mount back on or it wont stay on.......

Buy the "permatex" kit. Follow the directions.
