Good question; there are a multitude of answers. Some folks go through life just spoiling for a good argument. They even call around just looking for rumors. So, for some, a good fight is entertainment.
Other people may see some point you and I consider trivial to be quite important. In other words, what is important, or stupid, depends on one's perception.
And some people simply have to be right about everything, and feel obligated to defend their every belief. It is a matter of pride or ego, however misguided it may seem. And I think the reasons just go on endlessly; but at the heart of a fight is the simple belief that someone considers a trivial point to be important enough to argue about.

For the drama and people like to think that they are right and other people are wrong. They probably have differences of opinion and so they probably have a different opinion of what is dumb and what isn't, hence, the fight.

Don't ask me, I haven't seen one of my uncle's in 5 or so years because of a fight over a can of Coke with my dad.

well because without dramma in our lives what would it be??? possibly bland and dull or boring so in our minds we make assumptions and assumptions lead to issues issues lead to dumb fights so if you would like to stop the stupid fight close your eyes plug your ears and simly ingnore the world.....right no there is no way around it :)

things ppl are sensitive to make them mad.......
i bet youve fought over a stupid thing that you didnt even realize was the stupisest thing
cuz its not stupid to YOU
or actually, sometimes, there are misunderstandings and people stay mad
