Honestly, I think that you can't group people together, like northern people and southern people. Like, I have a cousin in Tennessee that doesn't like country music and all of her friends hate it. But on the other hand, I have another cousin in Ohio who listens to nothing but country. So you can't just group people together, because everyone is different. But I would say that in general, I would think that southern people would listen to country music more, because it is played more and there are more radio stations for country music. But northerners do listen to country music, at least the northerners I know do. Besides, there are alot of country music singers that were born and grew up in the north.

I've got a question. Would you a say that California is a southern or northern state. I mean, since half of it is northern and half is southern, which would you categorize it in? Just a question because all of your other questions seemed to be related to southern states. So I figured you should know. lol =]

While country music might not enjoy the popularity of your southern, mid-western and western states it certainly has a sizeable following through out the northern and north eastern states.

Yes. I live in Upstate New York (about 30 miles to Canada) and mostly older people listen to it. All of the kids and teens listen to this stuipid rap station "The Border". It sucks cause it is so boring up here and everyone is trying to be thugs when there is no black people up here.
