How do you ever become a best friend without liking each other? Between a guy and girl best friend...everything you want in a relationship may be there...except sexual attraction. If sexual attraction enters into it, you better hope it's mutual. I don't see how it could survive otherwise. Between girl and guy best friends there's almost an unspoken trust not to cross over into intimacy.

I married my best friend after 6 years of being "Just Friends". The first time we kissed we knew we had to be together. BUT your best friend is not necessarily THE ONE. You must both be attracted to each other and want the relationship to work out. Sometimes a best friend is just a best friend, and that's not too bad, right?

I know a few that do.
Although my husband & I started out dating, the thing that made me want to marry him was the fact that through the course of dating/getting to know each other, we became very good friends.

The friend zone has a very powerful pull. It is difficult for oppisite sex friends to reach best friend status if they have any feelings for each other. (If they exist, they should come out in the long time it takes to become bf)

of course more then 80% of best guy-girl friends start dating after a certain point. it's the best way 2 be with sum1 sicne u know them well n all =p

Sometimes, I think if you start thinking you have feelings for your friend thoes feelings were always there. I have guy friends that I have been friends with for years and nothing happend. But I have some guy friends that I always knew there was something more. So I guess it all depends

yeah me and my girl have been friends and we would eat at breakfast at school together and talk on the phone even though we didnt have 1 class together
