Like the tsunami tragedy in southeast asia, there was no elephants, horses or dogs found dead but only human beings. In fact animals or insects can clearly distinguish exactly the exact change or shift of seasons. Like the ants, they gather food when the wet season is approaching and that gives signal to humans that big rains is coming. Why humans does'nt have tha senses? Would it should be that humans is the more sensitive since he & she considers greater and the supreme being of these universe? How can humans say that when in fact animals is stronger and supersensitive than humans

We have lost touch with many of our senses by continually isolating ourselves from nature. We still have the ability to use them but we "turn them off" to some degree.

When a person has lost one of their senses, the other senses become more apparent to that person, therefore, they must still be present and workable, just not used as thoroughly as they might be due to "civilized" circumstances.

I am not saying we have all the capabilities of other animals, we cannot hear the high frequencies that bats use, for instance ( at least I have not heard of anyone that can hear these frequencies ).

I am also not addressing instinct, behavior, evolution, etc. in what I just wrote, I leave that to the appropriate subject experts. I am just noting what I have come to understand and what I have experienced. If I go out camping for a few days, I begin to notice things through my senses that normally I would not experience, I become more attuned to the environment. In the Marines we became more aware of irregularities while on bivouac like when sleeping we alerted much more readily to noises, vibrations, etc. that did not belong and that normally we would not notice that we heard, felt, etc.

As we have evolved, humans have relied more on logic and intelligence than senses such as those. The only problem with that, is that we need adequate data to use our logic. With the tsunami, the humans didn't know enough to get out of harms way.
