It will be other resources below oil.. Maybe natural gas. If the resources are all depleted, there will only be air fillling the space, common sense...

well, the law of phsyics would say something has the fill the space where the oil was or it would build up so much pressure and just implode on itself...
but, I'm pretty sure the pumps that pump it out of ground have a pump putting air back into the space where the oil was... there has to be something there... or it would become a vacuum and when the pump was removed from the hole, oil would squirt up everywhere... or again, implode on itself.
