if you are a pessimist you tend not to have goals and if you are optimistic all the time you suffer more when things dont come your way

Optimist all the way. Optimists live longer, have more friends, get promoted more often, make more money, and have better physical and psychological health than pessimists. Oh, and optimists are happier!
