No, Zizou was one of the best players ever. I mean Pele calls this guy the maestro. He's been the FIFA player of the year 3 times , the European footballer of the year once, he was the UEFA Champions League Most Valuable Player for 2001-2002 In 2004 he was voted the Best European player of the past 50 years and this year he won the golden ball. He made one mistake. So what. One mistake won't erase the amazing career that he had. In my mind he will always be one of the games greatest, no matter what the reason ends up being that he headbutted Materazzi. And if he had a good reason that will just elevate him more in my mind.

I don't think so. While it was a very bad judgment call on his part, and a horrible way for him to end his career, in years to come people will remember Zidane for the great player he was. Time will erase the memory of this unfortunate event, but not the memory of his immense talent.

I don't think his reputation as a soccer player is ruined at all..I do think that it's something everyone will remember though when the word Zidane comes up.

I still think he's an awesome player. Definitely one of the best. He just showed that he's human, like everyone else, and makes mistakes sometimes.
He led France to the 1998 World Cup, and deserves some credit for his outstanding career in soccer. One mistake doesn't change all he contributed to soccer.

It might've put a bit of a damper on it, but he's such an amazing player it might not matter at all. He was just caught up in the game (hello, World Cup Final!!) and overreacted to a rude remark. It was stupid, regrettable, yeah, but he's not ruined. He's still incredible!!

No but it definitely not a good way to go out. I was watching the news this evening and there were saying that some "terrorist or racial remarks" were made and this week we will hear what it was really. It's just sad he couldn't have kept his cool, know what i mean?
