After a deplorable year in Baltimore last year, he was really not sought by any team except the Nationals who offered him a contract. He declined and went back home. The word from Chicago has been they were glad to be rid of him. Too bad because he seemed to contribute much to the little success the Cubs had.

I answered this question a few weeks ago.

Sosa has been seen around Miami lately, attending Heat playoff games and making the rounds at the South Beach night clubs. However, there is some new info - courtesy of an article that appears in the Korea Times, believe it or not.

The article was published just a couple of days ago, while Sosa was visiting Seoul along with Dominican president Leonel Fernandez. Sosa apparently told the Korean reporters:

"I am not retired. I am waiting for my time, to see if it is a chance for me to come back next year,'' he said. "I am always ready.''

When the inevitable questions came up about steroid use, Sosa brushed them aside, saying:

This is not a question for me to answer. Excuse me, I don't need to answer that question.''
