What is "Visualboy advance"? And can you just download games for free to play on it? Or do you need to have an actual GBA? I'm clueless...please fill me in.

Visualboy advance is the best GBA emulator out there. You download the games (roms) and you can play them with it on your computer. No need for an actual, store-bought GBA. You just need a computer and an internet connection.

VisualBoy Advance, or VBA, is an emulator for the GameBoy Advance. Emulators were initially used for developers who wished to beta test their console games, but now, you can get an emulator for almost any existing console (although some require you to modify your system BIOS). Although the emulators themselves are perfectly legal, you are only supposed to have the ROMs (which are the games) for them for 24 hours before deleting them. Emulators have been the subject of copyright-infringement law debates for a couple of years now.

Sounds like an emulator. With an emulator you can download any game for that type of system, ex: any game for a game boy advance and play it on your computer.

You dont need a gameboy advance. Its for people who want to play consol games on their computer for free and rip off companies. Just search for "Game boy advance emulator" on yahoo. The games are called "roms"
