By all means the World cup games are rigged, at least the quarterfinals and the final itself. I have been doing some reasearch in the economical matter of the world cup and by all means FIFA would have had more gains including the European Clubs, Leagues and tournaments, if Italy would win the world cup.
In the match Argentina vs. Germany this couldnt be any more clearer but for a totally different reason, the game was rigged favoring the locals. It was predetermined to go to penalties, and to be sure of that the Argentine goalkeeper left the field after an apparent injury that I believe never happened. He just didnt want to ruin his image for being the cause that argentina would lose that day. Lehmanthe german goalkeeper received a paper from one of the coaches that had the shot position of each of the argentine panalty takers, he went the right way in every single shot. He later confesed that he had indeed received such information and would open up a museum featuring it.

Ok let me ask you this...would you want to lose? No. Would you want your country's name to be on everyone's tongue...go down in history....be known as the best? Yes. So why would anyone agree to be part of a game that's rigged...no matter how much money was offered. Plus the players would come forward and admit to having had the game rigged and that would ruin it for FIFA. Even if they had signed some sort of paper stating they have to keep quiet...don't you think they wouldn't care about their future in a rigged game...especially the ones who were retiring? Think abotu it....that would be the most stupidest thing FIFA could do. Germany won the Argentina game...yes they got lucky that the goalkeeper got injured but it's pretty obvious that Klose did accidentally knee him in the back. Don't make lousy excuses for something so obvious. France lost...Italy won. I was defending France but Italy won it and they didn't have the game rigged. Sure Italy cheated a few times but what team doesn't? So stop making lousy/whiny/no evidence assumptions and deal with it.

Standstill 22:
Obviously, you don't know anything about football. Since when does a team that defends for the entire second half and overtime and produce no goal chances, get considered as the better team?? The French team played much better than the Italians did and penalty kicks are not the best way to determine the "better" team, since its all luck. I wanted the Germans or Brazilians to win the World Cup, but I certainly did not want to see a lackluster, defensive, boring, uncreative, and downright lousy team win. There was no conspiracy, only the victory of a really overrated and undeserving team. If defensive football is the way to win the cup, football will die in a couple of years, be sure of it... Where are the Pele-days where teams would have four strikers???Yes, four strikers??? Now we are lucky if we even see one striker going forward, and in Italy's case, we never see anyone going forward...Football has become pathetic... I think only the Africans and their exciting attacking football will save the sport. I hope an African team wins next time around..

Yes, Lehmann did have a paper, but it's not like the Argentinians were going to "shoot according to plan". If you have to blame blame Ayala and Cambiasso for taking penalties with such poor speed and no height -- who can't stop a rolling ball on the ground?? No comments on the goalkeeper's injury but I suspect it's pure accident caused by clumsiness of Klose.

I heard that the Italian guy said something about his sister being a ho...thus him going nuts....If the Italian guy did provoke him then he'll be punished too. But I guess you would have to be able to read lips to make out what the Italian said to Zidane.
