Whenever you wear makeup, be sure to wash your face before you go to sleep. Estheticians will tell you that each night you don't wash your face you age two days and they add up quickly. Also look for non-comedogenic and hypoallergenic on the packages. That means the makeup is less likely to cause reactions or clog the pores. However, at eleven, all you really need is mascara and lip gloss anyway. Let that youth show through!

Learn from people first. There a bunch of amazing people on youtube who do great special effects makeup with simple tools. Then start practicing on friends and family. Then, as the other person said, try getting jobs doing makeup for parties and such.

Not if you use the it the right way... First of all you should use a skin care kit that's age- customized for you... use the ones that have spf 15 at least... and then, on the clean face, use the foundation, adn so on... foundation will keep your pores closed to dirt and all kinds of stuff. Don't forget to clean your face, every day so that your skin won't break out... Moreover, make sure your mamma is ok with this... she can show you a few tricks from where she comes

Have your Mom go to www.wonderful.myarbonne.com and look at the About Face Makeup line. If she says you are old enough to start wearing a little bit of makeup you two could look at the products together. Have your Mom google "rendering plants" to see what is in the OTC makeups and lotions. Always...always talk to your Mom about these kind of questions you have. She truly is your best source of information.

Go as long as you can go without wearing makeup. Be sure to start now with a good cleaning regiment... washing with soap and water several times a day and use a good moisturizer every day... you are never too young to start taking care of your face. You'll be glad you did when you are 40 something.

I would say that you are still too young to start using makeup. If you really feel strongly about it, why don't you start with just some lip gloss? Avoid the foundations or face powders. They will clog your pores and cause acne if not washed out thoroughly.

Actually, starting with a foundation that has SPF in it at a young age is a very good idea and habit to get into. The SPF in it will make your skin wrinkle less when you get older.

the only way make-up can do anything to your face is if you have an allergic reaction. Take this from an 12 year old. Also use make-up that is for young women.

Sweetie, I'm 13. I wear make-up. YOU, however, should not. Good lord, kids these days! LOL. No, seriously, don't. You are way too young and it's actually bad for the skin. So don't. Have radiant, young skin and make it all natural. Trust me. Everyone on here, who's telling you not to wear make-up is right. Not just me. Listen to us. You don't need it. I promise.
