Skateboarding isnt really about learning, first of all. just if you got a board all set up just hop on it get you feel for it and catch your balance then thats half your problems and just ride around and skate with your friends sooner or later youll learn from others and become more creative and people will be learning off of you. Skateboardings all about fun and creativity...like Marc Johnson once said "If you can think of it you can do it on a skateboard no matter what it is".

Not at all, especially if you have some sort of back up like Snowboarding or surfing. All you need to know is Balance and if you are thinking of learning then a tip is to not jump into learning the tricks, and trying them out. That will screw you up. Just focus on what you are doing. Also one more thing is when you can skate, don't brag to anyone, I did that and it didn't turn out too well :| Just practice, but the thing is it can really hurt so be careful LoL. I broke 2 ribs and my wrist (but that is because I do stupid things when people dare me) not to freak you out. You need practice, and balance is the harder thing to learn, but like I keep saying practice and you will be great at it.

Ask your friends (if you say that everyone you know how to skateboard) for their help. They'll teach you and practice, practice, practice if you really want to learn.

It is harder for girls to learn how to skateboard, but it is possible. Ask one of the guys around that's skaring boarding to help you learn.

nope! its a piece of cake! you just have to find your balance and be confident so that you won't fall down..."feel" your skateboard as it glides...practice makes perfect...you'll get the hang of it sooner than you'll expect!
