Learn how to make something. Service jobs like working in restaurants never pays much, because it's just a convenience to most people, and as soon as they leave, the value of what you have done has evaporated.

If you use you labor to make something though, your labor becomes a part of your product. Just as an example, suppose an oak tree falls down in your neighbors yard, and he tells you you can have it if you will haul it away. You could cut it up into cord wood and earn a few dollars, but if you build a really nice table with a set of chairs, you can sell it for a lot more. The wood is the same, it's the skill and the labor you apply that makes the difference. The greater the skill, the more you can charge.

This depends on your age. If you're 16, there are many places where you can work part-time and only work certain hours when school is in session. If you're 18, you can work most anywhere. If you're under 16, try asking your neighbors if there is anything you can do, such as babysitting, yard work, housework, etc. Always remember, work is work and fun is what you do after work. I don't understand why people say they want a fun job! Good luck and happy job hunting!

Depending on your neighborhood, see if any of your neighbors need errands or chores done. Print up some fliers and see what happens. Check it out with your parents first.

If you're not a kid, do it the old fashioned way--get a job.
