Animals will die regaurdless of whether or not they are made into coats, hats, etc.

We do not live in a perfect world. Those who covet the animal furs and think they are reliving something from our anient forefathers - the neanderthals, etc., will always think this way until they evolutionize themselves out of existence, or until they get a hint that real fur by animal means something living with blood died to put that jacket on their back (just as something living with blood died to put that steak on your plate!).
