hmmm...
rare have i come across forks in road... with almost equal benefits and gains... *thinks of choosing a college*
thing is... i didnt have enough information to make the right decision... so i guessed and happen to guess right.
Hard decisions arent always non-challant like my approach though.
I suggest that you flip a coin... and call which ever one you want to call heads...
flip the coin...
cover it up before you see it...
... now which one did you pick for heads?
... dont even look at the coin... cuz thats your answer.
if you read "the tipping point" or "blink"
2 books i highly recommend...
it refers to quick decision moments... stuff that happen in the blink of an eye...
and the other i believe talks about psychological breakdowns of marital relationships... and using a video camera... psychologists can map out from second to second (could be smaller increments)... how the couple reacts... the key is to avoid contempt for the other person... then things will be fine.
anywho... This system they had basically broke down micro feelings and INTUITIVE innate and inherent knowledge within the mind... and gave an 80% success rate of predicting the stability of the marriage.
So from this source... i made a system to sum things up that got around my need to see the sides equally.
And if this decision doesnt work for you... go ask the friend you like to hang out with... not the wise one... or the perky supportive one necessarily... but the one that you see alot of... and ask them if you have seemed happier while leaning one way or another.
In either case, commit to the decision.
goodluck

First decide how much time you have to make the decision. Then use the available time to evaluate the alternatives. The correct decision won't help if you make the decision too late.
If you can't decide on any moral basis, do the thing that will be the hardest for you. That way you'll never get into the habit of just doing what ever is easiest for you at the time.
Like they said in the movie, the path of least resistance is why there are crooked rivers, roads and people.

For the road fork: Either flip a coin or pick the road that it'll take me where I want to go.
Leave him or stay: Decided whether I like him or can't stand him.
Major: I think of the one thing I could do all my life, never tire of and be able to make money from.
Cruise or London: Cruise, I'm into the sun more than the rain
Toothbrush: Colgate, the semi-hard yellow one.

I ask Yahoo answers. and then have them vote on it. or someone close to me to make the decision but i give them a multiple choice so as to make sure that whichever answer they do decide is one that I will want.

You answered your own question, strong girl. Pray and make a list. But I would add one more thing: trust your gut. Instinct is highly underrated.

Allow yourself time......the answers will come, you just have to listen. If a thought is persistent and usually first and foremost in your mind, it is usually the one to listen to. If you go against a "gut" reaction or decision, it will prove "usually" to be wrong.

It is really simple, considering your options, is the choice "working" for you.
That is does it enhance your life and the lives of those around you.
Any other factors you may be considering concerns details and possibly convenience.

for my major stuff lk dumping a guy, i use a list to write pros ands cons to weigh the situation and then decide.
but my trivial things lk which toothbrush to buy,i use the classic eeny-miny-meeny-mo method. becos i feel lazy to find a coin to toss it to make my mind.

There are never equal alternatives. You have to study each and choose. It's not always easy.
