YES YOU CAN DO IT - even with kids! Don't you listen to Beautiful_Letdown's negativity - after all, she's "still waiting and wishing" and look at YOU! You're MOVIN' ON!

There really is a lot of money out there, you just have to apply for it. There is a book you might check out - "Everything Paying for College Book: Grants, Loans, and Scholarships" (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1593373007/104-4728423-1703905?v=glance&n=283155). I would suggest going for a grant instead of a loan - you don't have to worry about paying it back, and really, there is a lot of funding available if you know where to look. As a single mom, I think you will find support that you didn't know existed. Try this website for info about grants for single moms: http://www.singlemom.com/FINANCIAL_GIFTING/May04/Single_mom_Lori_B_entry.htm
And this website: http://www.findstuff.com/search.php?query=college+grant+mother+single&source=goog

Do you belong to a church or place of worship that can help you? Sometimes they have resources no one knows about until you ask. You will have to do some serious ************ research on this topic. But at the end of it you CAN find money to get your degree(s) and even to help you with childcare while you do it. Just keep on looking. Google, talk to people, make phone calls, ask, read, do what you're doing. Don't you quit, you will find it!

I am really excited for you and, girl, YOU GO FOR IT!! You deserve the vindication!!

I can so relate my ex-left me and two kids and I had not worked in three years with a house payment and all the bills. First thing I would recommend is head to your state office. They can help you get you started with finding child care with money and find a school. I would defiantly apply for just financial aid check out the
FAFSA web site you can do all that on-line. Best of luck to you and may God be by your side to get you through all of this I know it is not simple. If you want some one to talk to feel free to e-mail me. I am also headed back to school this fall to become a registered nurse.

Get a Pell Grant.....you don't have to pay it back. Go to the college that you want to attend and get a student loan. You don't have to pay it back until 6 months after you graduate. Where there is a will, there is a way. I was in the situation.....3 kids, getting divorced and no job. I did it this way, graduated and now make $60,000/year and have the loan paid off. Don't expect handouts and, for heavens sake, don't waste precious time whining about your life......Get busy and make it on your own. You will feel great!

first you need to take his *** to court and bleed him dry for child support. I really dont see you making it through college being a single mother of 3. My mom had me and my brother in our teens when she tried to go back and she only lasted a year and now has about $23,000 to pay back. I think I would put the college deal on hold to be honest. You will most likely drop out because you wont have time for 3 kids, work and school. Its just not very possible.

God bless you. You might try talking to your school's advisor. They could be able to point you in the right direction. You might could even get a Pell Grant or something that you wouldn't have to pay back. Talk to you school...they're there to help you. Good luck!!!
