when I ask a political question. That's okay - I can live with it (and myself). But I have a different political question. Over the years, it has seemed to me that behind the presidents of the US were their wives doing good and helping different issues. Where has Laura been? I almost forgot her name!!!! Does she do anything or is she a "housewife" now??? I still don't like George Bush and this one isn't about him this time. Maybe if I researched it I could find something she is doing while she's living well. But I don't see much of anything in the paper about her or anything. Anyone else? I know I'll hear 'think for yourself' by the Bush followers/admirers but see, I do think for myself, because I am not listening to you. :) ha ha. Truth is though, I listen to everyone - am very open minded but from all I've heard and read, I still have my beliefs and no matter how much you bash me (I read a lot of the political stuff here so I know the answers) it doesn't matter.

I can only answer this way. I believe the Republicans knew they f*cked up in 2000. So they rabidly defend him, to not do so, is admitance to them being wrong. They will always attack... tell me, when has someone seriously upset you to a point of "bashing" someone, because we believe(d) in Gore or Kerry? I don't get angry, why should I? Why should they? They fight abroad... at at home here too.

Laura Bush does much to promote education and child development. You should try doing some basic research before asking such a retarded question. Type "Laura Bush" into your yahoo search engine and I think you will find all of the answers you could ever hope for.
Keep in mind that Mrs. John "Purple Heart King" Kerry asked the same question during the campaign. She alluded that she did not know if Laura Bush ever had a 'real job'. This from a woman who never had to work a day in her life.
If you want to get political, John Kerry and George W. Bush are basically carbon copies of each other. They are both wealthy, Ivy leauge, privelaged, sons of monied families. Apart from their political ideologies, they are almost identical. I think Kerry's wife opening her "I'm better than you commoners" mouth is what caused Kerry the election.

Doesn't sound like you're very open minded. Sounds more like another attack on Bush but, this time, let's get the wife. Since she was a librarian, she's promoting literacy, not that that will be acceptable to you. Second, if the media doesn't like Bush, do you think they are going to show any of them in a positive light? Third, to what office has she been elected that she has any more requirements to fulfill but to stand by her husband's side? The only thing that I remember Jackie Kennedy doing is remodeling the White House but I guess you'll have an excuse for that.

The Bush people are merely defending themselves against your attacks - Laura , as a former librarian and teacher has a program that is putting books in libraries. You don't see much about it in the press because its not glamorous or exciting like Hillary being a world traveler (all I ever saw her do after everyone convinced her she didn't win an election - sit down and shut up Hil!)http://www.laurabushfoundation.org/

shall we see. it truly is an celebration of how he does that: "those socialist, marxist Democrats are pushing a bill that ought to "insure" thousands and thousands of human beings. Now, i'm no specialist or some thing, yet we are heading contained in the route of a Communist usa. Obama is reminding me distinctive Hitler today and those Democrats who hate u.s. and favor to indoctrinate our youthful toddlers with their socialist agenda are operating this usa into the floor.... Oh, and the Republicans may be somewhat better cooperative too." There, for each 9 liberal bashes, he receives one mediocre swipe in at repubs. Glenn isn't a republican, yet an he's uber-conservative

Republicans don't want their wives doing things. It might take the spotlight and attention off of them for a second if their wife did something good.

This is because Bush isn't the real president. Cheney is in control of everything.

Why do you get bashed by Bush followers?
Probably because you're bashing them.
(Just a guess.)
